Job Summary:

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) in Milledgeville, GA. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a busy Level 3 Trauma Designation facility with 24 licensed beds. The role supports a diverse patient population with acute and chronic conditions, requiring strong clinical assessment skills and experience in telemetry monitoring.

• Schedule:
  
  Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Active RN license for Georgia, BLS (Basic Life Support), and BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) certification. A minimum of 2 years of Med/Tele experience is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification and a medical-surgical national certification are desirable but not required.
• Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
  Patients with acute or chronic diseases, post-operative status, diabetes, hypertension, infections, CHF, electrolyte imbalances.
• Patient Ratios: RN: 1:4-6, LPN: 1:4-6, CNA: 2-3 per shift.
• Support within the Department: CNA duties include vital signs, glucose checks, ambulating patients, and assisting with daily care. The unit has dedicated hospitalist, intensivist, and telemetry monitoring staff.
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC electronic medical record, Alaris infusion pumps, Phillips monitors, vital signs monitors, Nova Glucose Stat Strips, portable vital sign monitors, bladder scanners, IV pumps, portable oxygen systems, glucomander, PCA pain management, suction machines.
• Orientation:
  One day facility orientation plus two days departmental training.
• Floating:
  All adult medical-surgical and telemetry units in house.
• Other Notes:
  Scrub color:
  Navy for RN, Ciel Blue for LPN. Free parking available. The unit culture is busy but team-oriented.
