You have found the perfect CDL Rolloff Driver position to develop and grow as a professional.
Job SummaryThis Roll Off job will primarily handle rolloff containers in the Milledgeville, GA area.
Roll-Off Drivers safely operate a heavy-duty truck and are responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting large mobile open‑top and compactor containers to disposal sites, transfer or recycling facilities and customer locations. They navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high‑traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential.

- Operate vehicle in accordance with AmWaste of Georgia Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and document checks on standard DVIR.
- Immediately report any unsafe situations or service‑related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by AmWaste of Georgia or Route Manager.
- Work closely with Route Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.
- Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, streets, alleyways or potential safety hazards.
- Communicate customer requests to Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Identify and report all containers in need of repair or replacement.
- Complete and submit customer tickets as required.
- Position and/or return container on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids and/or doors are properly replaced, and do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follow route assignments as directed and complete end‑of‑day documentation and the checkout process.
- Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
This job has no supervisory duties.
MinimumJob Requirements
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Have an acceptable driving record
- Have a valid CDL class B license
- Have a valid Medical Card
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
