We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead operations at our new pharmacy location in Maryland. The PIC will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications and provide clear instructions on proper use.
- Review and interpret physician orders and identify potential therapeutic incompatibilities.
- Provide patient counseling regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage.
- Maintain accurate and complete pharmacy records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in full compliance with Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including workflow, staffing oversight, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and medication therapy.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the State of Maryland.
- Previous experience as Pharmacist in Charge preferred.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain compliance documentation including NPI, NCPDP, and other required credentials.
Conditions of Employment
- This offer is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and verification of credentials and licensure.
- You must obtain and maintain an active Pharmacist license and meet all requirements necessary to perform duties as a Pharmacist in Charge.
- As part of your employment, your professional license is essential for pharmacy operations. You are required to provide and maintain accurate professional credentials, including but not limited to NPI, NCPDP, and other relevant regulatory documentation.
Compensation & Schedule
- 30 hours per week
- $55 per hour
