Harris is looking for a Lead, HR Business Partner to support Operations client groups across multiple sites. This is a strategic role responsible for aligning business objectives, driving HR programs and change management initiatives with employees and management. The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, communicates needs proactively with our HR department and business management, and seeks to develop integrated solutions.
The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

This role is based in Millersville, MD and supports geographically dispersed client groups where the selected candidate will focus on aligning HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring effective workforce utilization to achieve organizational goals.
This position requires a broad knowledge of HR and strong project management skills. They will manage complex projects or processes with general oversight and will communicate across functions to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Essential Job Functions & Duties- Strategic Alignment: Align HR strategies with L3
Harris, Space & Mission Systems business objectives, ensuring the consistent and unbiased application of various annual HR processes, initiatives, and programs. - Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with diverse stakeholder groups, including union leaders, employees, management HR functional teams, and Centers of Excellence.
- Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Advisory Role: Act as a consultant to management on HR-related issues, providing guidance and recommendations.
- Workforce Staffing: Lead strategic workforce staffing and talent development, and retention strategies partnering with Operations business leaders and COEs to ensure the organization has the necessary skills and competencies to meet current and future needs.
- Performance Management: Support the performance management process that drives high performance and supports employee development.
- Change Management: Partner to implement and influence organizational change initiatives, helping to manage transitions and facilitate effective two-way communication.
- HR Metrics and Analytics: Formulate and utilize HR metrics and analytics to inform decision making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with COEs to develop, facilitate and implement the timely, accurate and appropriate delivery of solutions, programs and policies that support the strategic goals of the company, connect business value with talent, and promote a diverse, inclusive environment that maximizes the success of the people.
