Job Summary /Basic Function
About the position:
The Assistant Vice President for Campus Culture and Belonging assists the Vice President for Student Affairs and provides tactical leadership within the division of Student Affairs though identifying, implementing, and promoting student behavioral and success policies, procedures, operations, and resources to support and fulfill the strategic direction for student affairs and to ensure alignment to the strategic mission of Millersville University.
This position leads and empowers a talented and student success-oriented team in Orientation Programs and the Dr. Rita Smith-Wade-El Center for Intercultural Student Engagement and ensures that it provide services that aid the academic success of students and contribute to fulfillment of University's educational mission. Additionally, this position provides leadership to advance and foster a campus culture of inclusive excellence and is responsible for monitoring the campus climate and for coordinating the work of the President's Commissions.
This member of the Student Affairs team supports programming and services that reflect the Millersville University EPPIIC values of exploration, professionalism, public mission, inclusion, integrity, and compassion while students develop personally, socially, and intellectually. The AVPCCB must have a commitment to promoting equity, inclusion, and intercultural competence, as well as the aptitude to work and communicate inclusively within a broadly diverse community.
