Job Summary /Basic Function

The Department of Early, Middle and Elementary Education is seeking a motivated graduate student to assist faculty with a variety of tasks, including general office duties as assigned, research work, special events, etc.

Required Qualifications

* Current education major enrolled in a graduate program

* Committed to working at least 10 hours per week

* Must be able to work independently and show initiative.

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

* Ability to work compassionately and professionally with a diverse population.

* Good interpersonal skills on the phone and face-to-face.

* Attention to detail.

* General computer experience (Word, Excel and Outlook preferred).

* Willingness to perform varied duties.

* Ability to multitask and work with multiple projects at one time.

Preferred Qualifications

Job Duties

Tasks may included but are not limited to:

* Support faculty with day-to-day tasks and work independently and/or as a team to accomplish the overall mission and goals of the department.

* Copy, print, and scan documents when necessary.

* May make deliveries around campus, dropping off and picking up materials to and from other departments.

* Perform specific duties and provide assistance when requested.

* Other duties as assigned by faculty

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

* Ability to sit and use a computer for the length of shift

* Ability to make deliveries & pickups on campus

* Ability to use department photocopier (training provided)
