Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Psychology Professor, (Beginning August 2027)

The Department of Psychology in the College of Education and Human Services welcomes applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate position beginning August 2027. We seek candidates who share our commitment to training future generations of school psychologists in evidence-based practices for diverse populations.

About the position:
The candidate hired will have the opportunity to contribute to both our Specialist Level (Ed.S.) program in School Psychology as well as our undergraduate psychology program through curriculum development, community partnerships, leadership opportunities, and the supervision and training of future school psychologists. Job responsibilities include teaching, advising students, scholarly or creative work and department and university service. The candidate would teach courses in School Psychology (such as psychological assessment, consultation, classroom interventions, and/or other related graduate courses) as well as related undergraduate courses (such as applied behavior analysis, developmental psychology, statistics, and/or general psychology).

Actual job assignments will depend upon department needs.

The Millersville University Educational Specialist Graduate Program in School Psychology is accredited by the National Association of School Psychology (NASP). We prepare our students for comprehensive and integrated service delivery in accordance with the NASP Professional Standards. Millersville University school psychology alumni are eligible for school psychology certification by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and to become Nationally Certified School Psychologists (NCSP) via NASP.

Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications as well as aligned with the details contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the Millersville University Promotion Statement.

Minimum qualifications required to be considered for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor include having an earned doctorate and a minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience (or its equivalent) and scholarship commensurate with this rank.

• Copies of registrar-issued unofficial transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress (the successful candidate will be required to provide registrar-issued official transcripts from the issuing institution(s) directly to the Provost's Office by the start date).

Required qualifications include a doctoral degree (or ABD) in School Psychology (or a related field) and eligibility for National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) and School Psychology certification in Pennsylvania.

Preferred qualifications include an earned doctorate in School Psychology from an APA or NASP Approved/Accredited Program, experience with evidenced-based practices including equitable assessment practices, and experience supervising graduate students in field activities and placements.
