Graduate Student - EDHS Learning Institute

The College of Education and Human Services is seeking a motivated graduate student to assist with the planning and implementation of its highly successful continuing education program, the Learning Institute:
Global Well-Being and Social Change Conference and the Lockey Lecture.

Required Qualifications:

Current Graduate Student in Education, SOWK, or PSYC major. Committed to working at least 10-15 hours per week. Must be able to work independently and show initiative. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Ability to work compassionately and professionally with a diverse population. Good interpersonal phone and face-to-face skills. Good communications skills. Organized. Attention to detail. General computer experience (Word, Excel and Outlook preferred).

Creative - Familiar with Canva or Adobe Express. Willingness to perform varied duties. Ability to multitask and work with multiple projects at one time.

Job Duties:

Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Attend Committee Meetings. Event Planning for the academic year. Research as needed. Serve as contact for the Learning Institute. Supply status reports to Dean and LI Committee. Coordination and implementation of events. Marketing Promotion of events. Room Reservations for events. Registration setup and tracking. Communicate with speakers & participants. CEU and Act 48 tracking and reporting. Perform specific duties and provide assistance when requested.

Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Ability to communicate well with others. Ability to sit and use a computer for the length of shift. Ability to make deliveries & pickups on campus. Ability to use department photocopier (training provided). Ability to manage time and prioritize.
