Temporary Part-Time Instructor for Educational Foundations (Unsolicited)
Join Our Team at Millersville University! Educational Foundations is accepting applications for Temporary, Part-time Instructor responsible for teaching courses with students in the enrolled in pre-service teacher education programs, and/or students enrolled in MEd and post-masters' programs in the Department of Educational Foundations. The purpose of this posting is to generate a pool of qualified faculty. Applications submitted will be reviewed on an as needed basis based on enrollment.
Anyone meeting the qualifications may be contacted for an interview and potentially hired when a need exists. In the event that you are interviewed but not immediately hired, your application will remain in the departments pool of qualified faculty.
A complete application will include:
Cover letter describing qualifications for the position. Current curriculum vitae or professional resume. Copies of registrar-issued transcripts for all degrees conferred and in progress. Copies of all preK-12 teaching certifications. Two letters of professional reference dated within the last 12 months. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants are encouraged to submit their application materials far enough in advance of the closing date to allow time for their references to respond.

Duties and Responsibilities - TEACHING AND PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach undergraduate pre-service education students in educational foundations, educational psychology, or educational technology. Additionally, candidates may be asked to teach courses in educational leadership, educational foundations, educational psychology, or educational technology at the graduate and post-masters' level. Additional responsibilities include ongoing professional/scholarly activity and service to the department and university commensurate with the assignment. Teach a three-credit course for the undergraduate teacher and graduate degree programs.
Part-time faculty members shall maintain a prorated number of office hours each week, at a minimum of twenty-five (25) minutes for each workload hour taught, at such days, times and locations as will accommodate the needs of the students. This position may require in-person, blended or remote instruction. This position is contingent upon sufficient enrollments in assigned classes.
