Student Alumni Engagement Team Coordinator

The Student Engagement Team Coordinator serves as a student leader within the Office of Alumni Engagement. This role provides leadership for engagement projects, mentors Student Engagement Assistants, and represents student voices in alumni programming. Team Coordinators play a critical role in connecting current students with alumni, supporting signature events such as Homecoming (October), the Wedding Expo (November), and Glorious Holidays at the 'Ville (December).

The position is designed to enhance leadership skills, professional development, and a lifelong commitment to Millersville through "time, talent, and treasure."

Required Qualifications:

Current undergraduate or graduate student in good academic standing. Demonstrated leadership experience (student org, job, service, or academic). Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility to work evening and weekend events as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior event planning or customer service experience. Experience mentoring or supervising peers. Familiarity with Millersville traditions and alumni programming.

Job Duties:

Lead, plan, and implement alumni and student engagement events. Supervise and mentor Student Engagement Assistants and their paid assistants. Coordinate student outreach and serve as liaison to student organizations. Manage event logistics (registration, hospitality, and day-of support). Track engagement and participation metrics. Educate peers on ways to give back to Millersville through time, talent, and treasure.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
Requires occasional evening/weekend hours. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. during event setup. Fast-paced office and event environments.
