Duties
- Manage the daily administrative operations of the Executive Office, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
- Serve as a critical backup for civilian payroll and personnel systems globally, processing time and attendance, performance appraisals, and complex pay-related actions.
- Control the flow of information by screening incoming mail, independently drafting responses to general inquiries, and reviewing all outgoing correspondence for accuracy and formatting.
- Research and compile data from various sources to create technical reports, statistical charts, and executive briefing materials using software like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Coordinate logistics for high-level meetings and conferences, including preparing background materials, tracking agendas, recording minutes, and managing protocols for senior-level visitors.
- Arrange comprehensive travel requirements for executive staff, coordinate trip logistics, and process travel vouchers and reports upon completion of travel.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Applicant must be a qualified typist. To be considered a qualified typist, must type at a speed of at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with no more than three errors.

Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Assisting in the coordination of day-to-day administrative operations for an office;
2) Preparing, formatting, and routing correspondence, reports, and meeting materials;
3) Processing standard administrative actions (such as travel orders, time and attendance, or routine personnel requests) using automated systems; and
4) Gathering and assembling data from various databases to support office operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-06.

Education:
One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business management/administration.
