Coastal Management Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Customer Service Representative to support Navy Personnel Command PERSTEMPO Helpdesk. This position serves as a primary point of contact for Sailors, veterans, Navy commands, and authorized personnel requiring assistance with personnel records, administrative services, and customer support inquiries.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to provide professional support in a fast-paced government environment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Assist Navy commands in obtaining and utilizing reports within the PERSTEMPO report‑viewing center and conduct user training on program changes and application enhancements.
- Initiate, monitor, and provide assistance with inputting transactions for commands reporting PERSTEMPO event via phone calls, emails, and faxes to the program.
- Manage the All‑Navy PERSTEMPO Report that identifies individual accounts and units with expired events. Communicate with Navy Command Representatives and Type Commanders regarding units consistently identified as not in compliance with PERSTEMPO reporting policies and procedures.
- Process and track customer service requests and personnel records requests.
- Maintain customer service logs, tracking systems, and case records.
- Monitor and manage functional mailboxes and customer support tickets.
- Support walk‑in customer service operations and records request processing.
- Ensure the protection and proper handling of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and sensitive records.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and provide timely updates.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Three (3) years of customer service, administrative support, clerical, military, call center, retail, hospitality, or related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience supporting military, government, or personnel administration programs.
- Familiarity with records management systems, databases, or customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
- Prior experience processing customer requests, case management activities, or administrative records.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a favorable government security clearance investigation.
