What You'll Be DoingAs a Carpenter, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and improving residential, commercial, and facility properties. No two days are exactly the same. You'll use your trade skills to perform repairs, renovations, installations, and preventive maintenance while ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety.
Daily ResponsibilitiesPerform rough and finish carpentry work on:
- Doors and windows
- Cabinets, counters, and closets
- Walls, partitions, and trim work
- Floors, subflooring, and stairs
- Wood framing and structural repairs
Install, repair, and replace:
- Drywall and sheetrock
- Tile and flooring
- Carpet and floor coverings
- Siding and hardware
- Glass and fixtures
Read blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan projects accurately
Measure, cut, fit, and install materials using hand and power tools
Complete change-of-occupancy repairs and facility maintenance projects
Troubleshoot building issues and perform minor mechanical repairs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Complete work orders and documentation accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- 2+ years of carpentry, construction, or building maintenance experience
- Strong rough and finish carpentry skills
- Experience with drywall installation and repairs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Experience installing doors, windows, flooring, trim, and related materials
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Valid Driver's License (REAL star required)
- Proof of current vehicle insurance
- Ability to read and write English
- Apprenticeship or formal trade training
- Industrial maintenance or commercial construction experience
- Preventive maintenance experience
- Painting and surface preparation skills
- Experience working with wood, tile, carpet, siding, glass, and hardware
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Millington, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.21 - $24.21/hr.
