Facilities Technician/General Maintenance Worker

Aerotek is hiring Facilities Technicians/General Maintenance Workers for a company located in Millington, TN. These positions are first shift (7:30AM-4:00PM) and are 6 month contract to hire roles. Pay $22.61/hr.

** MUST HAVE-Real  (with star), Proof of car insurance, and 3 proofs of Identification (DL, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and/or Passport).

We are seeking a reliable maintenance professional skilled in performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and equipment. The role requires expertise in basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to complete work orders efficiently, maintain a safe work environment, and ensure facilities remain operational and well-maintained.

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor electrical issues and perform basic electrical repairs including replacing outlets, switches, light fixtures, and bulbs.
• Conduct plumbing maintenance such as repairing sinks and toilets, and unclogging drains.
• Execute HVAC maintenance tasks, including changing filters and recognizing common HVAC issues.
• Complete carpentry tasks including door and lock repairs, drywall patching, and fixture installation.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools for equipment maintenance.
• Conduct surface preparation and painting of walls, doors, and equipment.
• Perform minor cosmetic repairs and general facility maintenance.

• 1-3 years of experience in general labor, construction, or equivalent training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with REAL  an acceptable driving record.
• Proof of car insurance.
• Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Capability to engage diplomatically and positively with others.

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform industrial maintenance.
• Experience in using mechanical and construction tools.
• Painting and finishing skills.

The role involves high-volume work that demands consistently high-quality output. During an 8-hour day, the position requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting, twisting, climbing, reaching, standing, and walking. Employees must use hands for repetitive pushing, pulling, and single grasp motion, frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds, and move objects in excess of 100 pounds. Additionally, the role requires the ability to load and unload trucks safely and climb and carry ladders.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millington, TN.

The pay range for this position is $22.61 - $22.61/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
