We're recruiting for an Electrician to join an established facilities team in Millom, working within a secure prison environment. This role offers a stable, long-term position with structured working patterns and ongoing development.

As an Electrician, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on essential electrical systems, ensuring a safe and compliant environment in Millom.

• Salary of £30,000 - £36,000 depending on experience

• Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs.
• Undertake minor installation works and component replacements.
• Conduct inspections and testing in line with regulations.
• Complete maintenance records and reports accurately.
• Support general maintenance and operational requirements.
• Work within strict Health & Safety procedures in a prison environment.

• City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation (Level 2+).
• 18th Edition certification (or willingness to update).
• Experience in maintenance and fault finding.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Basic IT skills.
• Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends.
• Desirable knowledge of fire alarm and CCTV systems.
