PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP)

Mills River, NC – PRN / As Needed

Pyramid Healthcare at Silver Ridge is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team in Mills River, NC.

Silver Ridge is a co‑ed adult treatment program serving individuals ages 30+, with a primary focus on substance use disorder treatment and secondary mental health needs.

This position will provide coverage and support for the primary onsite Nurse Practitioner, helping ensure continuity of care for our clients.

There will also be opportunities to provide additional coverage at Freedom Detox in Gastonia, NC.

This is a flexible PRN opportunity, with scheduling based on provider availability and program needs. Telehealth admissions and on‑call coverage will be required at times.

• Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluations as needed.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health concerns within scope of practice.
• Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT when appropriate.
• Complete telehealth admissions and assessments.
• Collaborate with nursing, counseling, and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Provide follow‑up care and monitor client progress throughout treatment.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation coverage as needed.

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of North Carolina.
• DEA registration preferred or ability to obtain.
• Prior experience in substance use treatment, detox, behavioral health, or psychiatric settings preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
• Comfortable providing care in both in‑person and telehealth settings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexible, dependable, and able to adapt to changing scheduling needs.
