Role Description This full-time, on-site Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is based in Mills River, NC. The technician will diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, perform maintenance and repairs on heating and cooling equipment, and complete preventive maintenance to extend system life and improve performance. Day-to-day work includes responding to service calls, inspecting and testing equipment, replacing parts, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

The role also involves communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommendations, documenting work performed, and maintaining a clean and organized work area and company vehicle. The technician will collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure high-quality service and support ongoing improvements in processes and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform accurate Troubleshooting and diagnose HVAC system issues efficiently.
• Strong skills in Maintenance & Repair of heating and air conditioning equipment.
• Experience with Preventive Maintenance to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Commitment to Customer Satisfaction through clear communication, professionalism, and timely service.
• EPA certification or eligibility to obtain required EPA credentials for refrigerant handling.
• Relevant HVAC training or technical school education; industry certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of safety standards, local codes, and best practices in HVAC installation and service.
• Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces, and stand or climb for extended periods.
• Strong time management, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
