Benefits Coordinator
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM;
Saturday work as needed.
Provides new hires and current employees with a clear and comprehensive understanding of Mountaire’s benefits programs. Administers the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Leave of Absence (LOA) processes, and supports employees with 401(k) loans, hardship requests, short‑term disability (STD), and long‑term disability (LTD) claims. Serves as a key resource for benefits education, problem‑solving, and compliance.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Conducts weekly new‑hire benefits orientations for both day and night shift employees.
- Processes and manages all leave of absence requests for hourly employees, ensuring timely and accurate FMLA/LOA administration.
- Assists employees with 401(k) loans, hardship requests, STD/LTD claims
, and general benefits‑related questions. - Supports employees with medical claim issues
, communicates Court Orders, orders insurance cards, processes Education Assistance applications, and coordinates with Corporate Benefits as needed. - Coordinates employee recognition activities
, including service awards, anniversary gifts, and Total Quality Service (TQS) initiatives. - Maintains and updates monthly Lunch & Learn materials
, manages inventory, and orders necessary forms and supplies.
- High School Diploma required;
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Administrative or office experience preferred.
- Bilingual (Haitian Creole/Spanish) a plus.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and FMLA regulations; certification preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and customer‑service skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and accuracy.
