Job Description
Working with our client, you will
use your technical training, your hands on experience and your problem-solving abilities to provide the solutions that keep vehicles on the road.
Job Responsibilities of an Automotive Technician:
Assisting technician mechanics in performing technical activities.
Diagnoses and repairs to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
Mechanics perform preventive maintenance and repair with efficiency and in accordance with company standards.
Will be required to perform used car checklists to identify what repairs need to be made, including estimated costs and time frames of repairs.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic
DE State Inspection and Emissions Licenses a plus
Must have a current and valid driver's license
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.)
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications is desired but not mandatory
