Qnity Electronics is seeking a highly motivated Technical Area Manager to lead technical execution, process stability, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing area. This role partners closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to improve safety, quality, reliability, and operational performance. The Technical Area Manager is responsible for developing technical talent, driving process capability improvements, and executing initiatives that support business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
This is a 100% onsite position located in our Newark, Delaware facility.

- Lead and develop a team of Process Engineers and Equipment Engineers, building technical capability and fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive process stability, capability, yield improvement, and scrap reduction through data-driven problem solving, statistical process control, and operational discipline.
- Champion a safe and reliable operating environment by supporting Process Safety Management (PSM), reinforcing critical safety standards, and driving sustainable corrective actions following incidents.
- Serve as the technical lead for process, equipment, and customer quality issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities, cycle time reduction initiatives, and process improvement projects that enhance product quality, throughput, and reliability.
- Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Commercial teams to identify opportunities and deliver improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction, and business performance.
- Translate business objectives and site priorities into actionable technical execution plans that support throughput, yield, backlog reduction, and operational excellence goals.
- Drive continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives, ensuring solutions are standardized, sustainable, and aligned with long-term operational needs.
- Support capital projects, process optimization efforts, and reliability improvements that increase manufacturing performance and consistency.
- Build strong connections across the organization by coaching teams, developing problem-solving capabilities, and creating an environment where employees proactively solve challenges at the source.
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of industrial manufacturing experience in a technical engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering role.
- Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience with process control, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive measurable operational results.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
