Job Description
Able to operate a shift unassisted and have the ability to rebuild equipment. A Water Operator Level B possesses a Water Operator license and 1 - 2 endorsements.
Shift: pm to 730am Tuesday-Saturday.
Primary PurposeAble to operate a shift unassisted and have the ability to rebuild equipment. A Water Operator Level B possesses a Water Operator license and 1 - 2 endorsements. Endorsements required for Millsboro include Distribution, Disinfection, Chemical Feed and Filtration. Will have 1-3 years of acceptable operating experience. Operates mostly under supervision.
MajorDuties & Responsibilities
- Operation of the water treatment system.
- Assists with compliance documentation and recordkeeping.
- Maintenance of water equipment and wells.
- Adheres to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, lockout‑tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.
- Performs process control lab work.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
- Active Water Operator license with 1–2 endorsements.
- 1–3 years of acceptable operating experience.
- DE:
Recertify every 2 years with completion of 20 hours of approved training within that timeframe. - NC:
Recertify annually with completion of 6 hours of commission‑approved continuing education.
