Lab Tech Assistant

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Tech - I (Assistant) for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role involves performing advanced laboratory services within various manufacturing areas. The successful candidate will follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work with a variety of manufacturing equipment, and assist with equipment setup and operation while adhering to all safety and company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Work with a variety of manufacturing equipment while completing processes throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Assist with equipment setup and operation
• Perform manual and/or automated operations, general maintenance and support functions
• Weigh, formulate and fill different Media Preparations
• Perform housekeeping in all work areas and execute facility decontamination according to approved procedures
• Maintain concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
• Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations as appropriate while notifying appropriate personnel
• May be accountable for accumulation, labeling and management of hazardous wastes
• Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment
• Assist in weekly reports as assigned
• Attend training classes, workshops, and meetings as required

Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED
• Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• General knowledge of reading, mathematics and computer skills
• Ability to communicate and work in cooperation with other employees in a manufacturing environment
• Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test
• This position may have varying hours based on the needs of the business, including a rotating shift
• Flexibility to work overtime is a requirement

Pay range: up to $22.33 per hour
