Shipper​/Receiver; Swing

Position

Shipper/Receiver – Full-time, non-exempt, Swing shift (1:00pm – 9:30pm), Kent, WA.

As a Shipper/Receiver you will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and stocking finished goods needed to fulfill customer orders.

• Complete shipments using ERP system and/or tablet (70%).
• Pull, package, and palletize products for shipment.
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards.
• Receive, stock, and rotate product; identify, tag, store, and locate finished inventory.
• Create and apply documents such as shipping labels, packing lists, and bills of lading for each pallet/shipment (10%).
• Maintain a clean work environment (10%).
• Other duties as assigned (10%).

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck Certification (will certify at hire).
• D.O.T. Haz Mat Training (will certify at hire).
• 1 year of warehouse, logistics, and/or shipping experience.
• Equipment operation: forklift, reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack.
• Strong safety focus and ability to promote a safe work environment.
• Basic mathematical reasoning (add/subtract two-digit numbers, multiply/divide by 10’s and 100’s).
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and maintain reliable attendance.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Understanding of company quality standards and quality control processes.
• Problem solving, teamwork, results focus, initiative, and customer service skills.
• Reading comprehension of safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear.
• Occasionally required to sit.
• Must lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects up to 50 pounds with proper equipment.
• Work around moving mechanical parts; environment includes noise, dust, heat/cold, wet or humid conditions.
