Position: Lab Tech - I (Assistant)

JSG is recruiting for a Lab Tech Assistant in Millsboro DE

Step into a vital role supporting advanced laboratory services across manufacturing areas. As a Lab Tech - I (Assistant), you’ll follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from day one, performing hands‑on lab and manufacturing support work while maintaining a safe, compliant environment. You’ll also benefit from ongoing training and development through classes, workshops, and meetings—helping you grow your skills and strengthen your impact on product‑related processes.

Required

Skills
  • Work safely and confidently by following all safety and company policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail with reliable documentation skills (charts, log books, and other required records)
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training
  • Basic reading and mathematics skills
  • Computer skills sufficient to support required tasks and documentation
  • Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with others in a manufacturing environment
  • Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test
  • Willingness to support compliance by identifying and addressing deviations as appropriate and notifying the proper personnel
  • Ability to maintain housekeeping and support facility decontamination procedures per approved guidelines
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience assisting with manual and/or automated operations in a manufacturing or lab setting
  • Familiarity with working in regulated environments where environmental, safety, and process compliance are critical
  • Experience with preparation activities such as weighing, formulating, and filling media preparations
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience level: While specific years aren’t provided, the role is designed for candidates who can operate manufacturing equipment after training and who demonstrate strong attention to detail and documentation capability.
Other Requirements
  • Training provided on GMP, SOPs, safety policies, and job‑specific procedures
  • Rotating shifts may be required
  • Varying hours based on business needs
  • Flexibility working overtime is required in manufacturing
  • May be accountable for accumulation, labeling, and management of hazardous wastes as appropriate to your area, but only after being properly trained prior to assignment
  • May be asked to assist in weekly reports as assigned
  • Attendance at training classes, workshops, and meetings as required
