Lab Tech Assistant

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Tech - I (Assistant) for an Onsite position with a Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of the Manufacturing Operations team at a Biotechnology Center of Excellence that manufactures, fills, packages, and distributes vaccines for animals. Working in a manufacturing plant with a "Safety First, Quality Always" mindset, the associate will support various production processes. This position requires a flexible work schedule, including overtime, holidays, and weekends, with rotating shifts to meet business demands.

Responsibilities:

• Clean work areas including floors, walls, and tables
• Prepare, clean, and sterilize glassware and equipment for use
• Assist with equipment setup and operation
• Perform aseptic procedures including product formulation and fill equipment setup
• Maintain concurrent record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
• Formulate, fill, label, cap, package, and visually inspect vaccines
• Assist with non-aseptic procedures including handling of poultry for harvesting tissue or waste
• Assist in reviewing and developing Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P's)
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety policies, and company procedures at all times

Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience or Bachelor's degree with industry or academic lab experience
• 1+ years of lab experience
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend information and effectively convey it to colleagues
• Aseptic clean room behaviors experience
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions
• Ability to work standing for long periods of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with rotating shifts

Desired skills:

• Biology or chemistry education background
• Mechanical aptitude

Pay range: up to 22.33 per hour
