The Millsboro, DE Animal Health facility is located in Sussex County, DE, within the Salisbury, MD‑DE Metropolitan Area. Millsboro is situated at the first point on the Indian River and is conveniently located 20 minutes from the beautiful Delaware beaches and 40 minutes from Ocean City, MD.
We are looking for talented individuals to join our Bioprocessing Production team using key technologies for cell culture and bulk antigen production. What You Can ExpectStarting on day one, you will receive the necessary training to follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and to adhere to all safety and company policies while performing advanced laboratory services in various manufacturing areas. Throughout your career, we will offer continued development through training classes, workshops, meetings, and other learning opportunities to improve job skills and product‑related procedures.
Duties- Work with a variety of manufacturing equipment while completing processes throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Assist with equipment setup and operation.
- Perform manual and/or automated operations, general maintenance, and support functions.
- Maintain housekeeping in all work areas and execute facility decontamination according to approved procedures.
- Assist with aseptic procedures including media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue‑culture preparation and harvest, filling vaccines, etc.
- Assist with non‑aseptic procedures including handling of live poultry during tissue and waste harvesting.
- Fill, label, cap, package, and inspect product.
- Maintain concurrent records, including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation.
- Identify and address compliance, environmental, safety, and process deviations as appropriate, notifying appropriate personnel.
- Manage accumulation, labeling, and disposal of hazardous wastes as appropriate (subject to training).
- Demonstrate safe work habits and maintain a safe work environment, complying with all safety and company policies and procedures.
- Assist in weekly reports as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment with training.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- General knowledge of reading, mathematics, and computer skills.
- Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with other employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Successful completion of a Physical Abilities Test.
- Position may have varying hours based on business needs.
- May require rotating shifts.
- Flexibility to work overtime is required.
- Travel is not a part of this position.
$48,600 – $76,600
