Lab Techs — Biotech Manufacturing Support (Animal Health Vaccines)

Pay $22.33/hour

• 1+ year of lab experience
• Ability to apply established procedures to complete assigned work within your area
• Ability to recognize issues and use existing procedures to assess solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (able to read, write, comprehend, and share information with colleagues at various levels)
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and conversions
• Comfortable working on your feet for long periods of time
• Strong focus on safe work habits and following company policies, GMP, and SOPs
• Ability to complete concurrent record keeping (charts, logbooks, and other documentation) accurately and on time

• Aseptic clean room behaviors experience
• General laboratory experience
• Biology or chemistry education background
• Mechanical aptitude

• High School Diploma/GED with industry-related lab experience OR Bachelor’s degree with industry or academic lab experience

• Must be able to work a flexible, rotating schedule based on manufacturing demand, including overtime, holidays, and weekends (days/hours may change as business needs shift)

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• 4th Shift: 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM

On average, you’ll work two different adjacent shifts each week—flexibility is essential

• cleaning work areas (floors, walls, tables)
• preparing/sterilizing glassware and equipment
• assisting with equipment setup/operation
• supporting aseptic procedures (formulation, fill setup/operations, environmental monitoring)
• vaccine formulation/filling/labeling/capping/packaging/inspection
• assisting with training
• reporting unusual occurrences
• supporting hazardous waste handling when properly trained
• supporting non-aseptic procedures (including handling poultry during harvesting activities)
• assisting with SOP and production record review
• attending trainings
• monitoring/requisitioning lab supplies
