Position Description

RNs are central to our facilities and their skills are vital to the care we provide, making a difference in patients’ lives every day. Cadia Healthcare is dedicated to providing the best care possible and as a RN Unit Manager, that’s exactly what you’ll do! By relying on your nursing and managerial experience, you’ll supervise the day-to-day duties of the nursing staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, charting in electronic medical records, etc., as necessary.
  • Review documentation in the electronic health record/POC for accuracy and completeness.
  • Inform unit nursing staff of new admissions, their expected time of arrival, room assignment, etc. and assure that rooms are ready for new admissions.
  • Consult with the resident, his/her family, and the resident’s provider in planning the resident’s care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
  • Assure that notification of the resident’s provider and next of kin have been notified when there is a change in the resident’s condition.
  • Collaborate with the Pharmacy to order/reorder resident medications including narcotics.
  • Review the Medication Administration Audit Report, Facility Dashboard and C.N.A. flow books for completeness of documentation and accuracy.
  • Participate in an on-call schedule.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state or compact state.
  • Must possess a current CPR license.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
