Laboratory Technician

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Laboratory Technician for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for maintaining the laboratory environment, including reagents, supplies, and calibrated equipment. The ideal candidate will prepare materials, review data, calculate results, and ensure the lab's cleanliness while adhering to Good Documentation Practices.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain reagents, supplies, and calibrated equipment
• Prepare reagents and materials
• Review data and calculate results
• Maintain the cleanliness of the lab
• Communicate schedule, test status, and concerns clearly and accurately
• Write Laboratory Investigations, as needed
• Revise pre-existing Standard Methods and SOPs
• Train others on methods & procedures

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with three years of laboratory experience
• Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor environment with varying temperatures, including coolers and freezers
• Ability to spend the majority of time standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) as required by safety policy (e.g., safety glasses, safety shoes, face shield, apron, gloves)
• Experience with Good Documentation Practices
• Skills in pipetting and weighing
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve beyond method-defined actions
• Familiarity with good laboratory techniques and the use of autoclaves
• Good communication skills

Desired skills:

• Bachelor's degree in a science discipline
