As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Millsboro, DE
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage site entry and visitor processing, verify credentials, and support orderly vehicle and pedestrian flow.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and directing individuals to the proper location per site procedures.
• Screen inbound and outbound traffic, including delivery and pickup vehicles, by checking documentation, coordinating with site contacts, and reporting irregularities per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with scene management as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production-adjacent areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and report conditions requiring attention.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
