Level C Mechanics handle routine preventative maintenance and repairs while building a foundation for a long-term career.

Essential Job Functions and Duties

* Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sound inspection.

* Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.

* Complete work orders as assigned.

* Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs.

* Adhere to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions. Lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management related matters.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma/GED or vocational training.

* Entry-level general maintenance with 0-3 years' previous work-related experience, including on-the-job and informal training.

* Understands the basic theory, practical knowledge, and skills to function as an entry-level mechanic safely and successfully.

* Must demonstrate proven ability in at least one of the following technical skill areas:

* Maintenance Fundamentals

* Electrical Power

* Mechanical Concepts

* Electrical Controls

* Pneumatics

* Hydraulics

* Analog & Drive Control

* PLCs

* Welding SMAW

* Welding GTAW

* Possesses additional basic general maintenance skills including but not limited to welding (Arc/Stick/TIG), math for mechanics, assembly, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, fabrication and safety.

* Certificates preferred.
