Job Description

Our manufacturing operations are the backbone of our business, and at our Millsboro, Delaware facility we serve as the Center of Excellence for Poultry and Freeze‑Dried Vaccines.
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician, Electrician to help build and sustain a proactive, high‑performance operations team.
What You’ll Do- Ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of electrical systems across the facility.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and test electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial/industrial settings.
- Prepare work areas and install electrical components according to code and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings; verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances.
- Connect wiring and equipment safely and in compliance with applicable standards.
- Maintain and test site fire systems, emergency generators, and fire pumps.
- Support annual thermographic scans of electrical gear.
- Operate equipment safely when trained and certified.
- Communicate effectively with team members, internal customers, and external vendors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- A.S. degree in a technical discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
- Experience with 480 V switch gear, transformers, and distribution panels.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints/schematics.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb and work from ladders or elevated platforms.
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation.
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry standards, including hot work and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Journeyman Electrical License or enrollment in the State of Delaware Apprenticeship Program.
- Experience with motor control circuits and relay logic.
- Hands‑on experience with electrical controls: PLCs, VFDs, stepper drives, MCCs, photo‑eyes, fiber optic sensors.
- Working knowledge of automated building management systems (e.g., Siemens).
- Familiarity with SAP or similar CMMS.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills focused on safety and compliance.
- Experience working under OSHA standards for electrical safety, elevated work, and confined space.
