Mechanical Fleet Technician
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically skilled Mechanical Fleet Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will help ensure the fleet remains safe, reliable, and operational by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
The ideal candidate will troubleshoot mechanical issues, complete repairs efficiently, and contribute to minimizing vehicle downtime. In addition to hands-on maintenance, you will assist with basic diagnostics, implement preventive maintenance practices, and provide guidance to less experienced mechanics when needed. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
FleetMaintenance & Repair
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and complete necessary repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure fleet vehicles remain safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations.
- Perform brake, suspension, steering, engine, and other mechanical repairs as needed.
- Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical concerns.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance standards.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Help identify opportunities to improve preventive maintenance practices.
- Provide guidance and support to junior or less experienced mechanics.
- Collaborate with team members to complete maintenance projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with additional fleet maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 1 year of mechanic or fleet maintenance experience.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
- Experience working on diesel-powered vehicles.
- Brake Certification.
- Refrigerant Recovery Certification.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial or fleet vehicles.
- Stable employment history with at least one year at the current employer (two or more years preferred).
- Willingness to relocate to Delaware, if currently located outside the area.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of hands-on mechanic experience, preferably working with diesel engines or fleet vehicles. Candidates with Brake Certification or Refrigerant Recovery Certification are highly desirable. We value individuals with a stable work history, ideally having remained with their current employer for at least one year (two or more years preferred). Candidates who are open to relocating to Delaware will be given strong consideration.
