Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a part-time Unit Admin Specialist for the Department of Family and Community Health Sciences, part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences ( SEBS ). The incumbent will support a federally funded community rural health transformation project in South Jersey by assisting with instructional training, education, community outreach, and participant engagement activities.
KeyDuties
- Assists with the implementation of evidence-based health education programs and community outreach activities by recruiting participants; coordinates educational sessions; prepares instructional materials; maintains participant communications; supports participant engagement and retention; and maintains program records, databases, and evaluation data.
- Assists with report preparation and attend required project training and meetings.
- Supports the development and coordination of Faith in Prevention Networks and School Wellness Networks by assisting with partner recruitment and communication; scheduling meetings and trainings; preparing agendas and educational materials; documenting network activities; and fostering collaboration among faith-based organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners to advance project objectives.
- Provides bilingual (English/Spanish) support for project activities by translating and adapting educational materials, providing Spanish interpretation during educational programs and meetings, conducting bilingual instruction, and assisting with culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach to increase access and engagement among Spanish-speaking participants.
- Creates informational materials; provides supporting research, analysis, and proposal data; prepare, process, and control records, statistics, reports, and documents.
- Assists with general program operations, including procurement of educational supplies and materials, coordination of project logistics, preparation of participant support materials, maintenance of inventories, scheduling of educational events, and other administrative and programmatic duties necessary to support successful implementation of grant activities.
