Manufacturing Engineer

What you’ll be doing 🔧

In this role, you’ll serve as a key technical resource supporting both quoting and manufacturing operations.

You’ll work directly with customers to review drawings, tolerances, and functional requirements, then develop accurate designs, BOMs, routings, and cost estimates to support quotes. You’ll help guide projects from initial inquiry through prototype and into production, keeping communication clear and timelines moving.

On the shop floor side, you’ll design fixtures and tooling in Solid Works, support CNC machining and prototype builds, and collaborate with technicians and operators to improve quality, repeatability, and efficiency. You’ll also identify opportunities to reduce lead times, control costs, and streamline processes.

You’ll support product and systems development efforts, particularly related to scientific glassware and precision assemblies, and maintain accurate engineering documentation within the ERP system.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in manufacturing, machining, or product/process engineering
• Proficiency with Solid Works
• Experience with fixtures, tooling, and prototype parts
• Exposure to CNC machining and ERP systems
• Experience with engineering-driven quoting or cost estimation strongly preferred
• Background in scientific glassware, optics, or precision components is highly desirable
