• Ability to work full time and every other weekend

• Handle and attend to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, following instructions from the nursing supervisor and/or charge nurse to establish shift routines
• Assume responsibility for various resident care duties as assigned by the charge nurse, including admitting, discharging, transferring, caring for residents’ personal belongings, and assisting professional nurses in performing resident treatments
• Bath the resident in bed, tub, or shower, comb hair, clean and cut fingernails, and give shampoos
• Make both occupied and unoccupied beds
• Assist with self‑medications
• Assist with treatments and vitals, as necessary
• Verify that all residents have wrist bands, medication, picture, and door tags
• Accompany residents when transported outside the facility for appointments, as needed
• Participate in the formulation and follow‑through of the resident’s nursing care plan
• Takes and records weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse, and respiration
• Assist all residents with their meals and provide in‑between meal nourishment, as well as fresh ice and water to the residents’ bedside, as needed
