Skilled Trades Partners is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician for commercial and light industrial projects in Millville, New Jersey. The ideal candidate can work independently, interpret electrical drawings, troubleshoot systems, and complete installations safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Install conduit, cable tray, wiring, lighting, panels, transformers, devices, and electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, specifications, and electrical drawings.
- Lay out electrical systems according to project requirements and NEC standards.
- Bend and install EMT, rigid, PVC, and other conduit systems.
- Pull wire and complete electrical terminations.
- Install and terminate motors, motor controls, VFDs, and disconnects.
- Troubleshoot, test, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Safely operate multimeters, megohmmeters, conduit benders, threaders, lifts, and cable-pulling equipment.
- Assist with work planning and mentor apprentices when needed.
- Complete timesheets, job reports, and inspection documentation accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- OSHA 10 Construction certification required.
- 4-6 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to read construction drawings and electrical specifications.
- Experience with commercial lighting, power distribution, motors, controls, and light industrial equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or travel when projects require it.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work from ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts.
- NFPA 70E training
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Forklift or aerial-lift certification
