Our client, a leading sub-metering solution provider and installer company, is currently recruiting for an Installer to be based in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified and hands‑on individual who is technically strong, client-focused, and able to work independently in the field. The position will initially be offered on a 3-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent based on business requirements and performance.
Minimum Requirements- Matric / Grade 12.
- Qualified Electrician or Plumber with a valid Trade Test / Red Seal.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-trade experience.
- Practical experience in the complementary trade would be advantageous.
- Previous experience with metering systems would be advantageous.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Hands‑on approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime when required.
- Install, maintain, test, and repair prepaid metering systems at client sites.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure installations comply with quality and safety standards.
- Carry out related plumbing and electrical installations as required.
- Commission metering systems and ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, plumbing, and metering‑related issues on‑site.
- Perform routine maintenance and fault‑finding on metering equipment.
- Provide clients with accurate product information and basic technical support.
- Maintain professional and positive client relationships on‑site.
- Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction at all times.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding installations, maintenance, and any site‑related issues.
- Complete all relevant duties associated with the installation function.
- Adhere to company standards, policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and report progress or site‑related issues to the relevant manager.
- Travel to various client sites as required and work overtime when necessary.
