Accounting Manager

The HT Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing entity in the search for an experienced
Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and partner closely with senior finance leadership. This is a high-impact role with visibility across the organization and direct interaction with executive leadership.

This position is responsible for managing core accounting functions including accounts payable, cash flow, general ledger integrity, and month-end close activities. The Accounting Manager will supervise accounting staff, ensure compliance with GAAP, and support financial reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

• Oversee full accounts payable cycle, cash flow planning, and banking activities
• Supervise and develop accounting staff, including performance management
• Maintain general ledger accuracy; prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial statement preparation
• Assist with audits, tax filings (sales & use tax), and regulatory compliance
• Partner with the Controller and CFO on reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Maintain financial KPIs and support management decision-making

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of cost or inventory-based general ledger accounting experience required
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with large-scale ERP systems required
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and communication skills
