Job Description:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented Revenue Accountant to support revenue accounting operations and month-end/quarter-end close activities.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- This role will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, support process improvements, maintain SOX compliance, and participate in system implementation and automation initiatives.
- Support monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close activities, including:
- Preparing and posting revenue-related journal entries.
- Performing account reconciliations.
- Preparing management reports and revenue analysis.
- Maintaining supporting schedules and documentation.
- Assist with system implementation projects by executing testing and validating accounting system designs.
- Support automation initiatives by leveraging AI models and other tools to validate system functionality and reporting accuracy.
- Prepare and review SOX controls related to revenue accounting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation requirements.
- Update and maintain process documentation as business processes evolve.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or revenue accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience with a Big Four accounting firm or public accounting environment.
- Experience using SAP or another enterprise ERP system (Oracle, Net Suite, Workday, etc.).
- Exposure to financial systems implementation or ERP testing.
- Experience supporting automation initiatives or working with AI-enabled tools.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
