PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Responsible for Direct / Indirect (or both) commodity supplier management for assigned business area. Contract reviews, negotiations, extensions and Periodic Business Reviews with suppliers. Ensure CPP (Corporate Purchasing Policy) compliance and cost reductions in his commodity spend. Support Corporate RFQs and program implementations at AMO division.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
- Ongoing review and analysis of spend categories. Identify commodities for sourcing projects and develop commodity strategy. Identify cost savings opportunities. Document and maintain records of all cost savings negotiated with suppliers in meeting company objectives/goals
- All contract negotiations JFSA / 3 bid RFQ for over $ 50K spend, formal process of RFQ tracking, Preparing and conducting negotiations with the supplier in order to establish an agreement and to coordinate contracting with legal group
- Supplier relationship management
- Leverage Abbott suppliers and sourcing network for AMO contracts
- NPD Sourcing Responsibility - Lead / support New Product Development (NPD) Sourcing activates at the R&D center. Cross-functional business user expectation management
- Track and measure supplier performance via score carding while fully analyzing and understanding supplier's economics.
- Support PO processing for respective functional categories
- Support Supplier Diversity activities related with suppliers / respective functional areas being supported
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY / SCOPE:
Works with cross-functional teams (business functional managers and PO requisitioners across diverse departments at Santa Ana. Works with all levels of employees, including senior management.
This is a Direct Hire/FT placement
Annual Salary Range is $83k - 110k. Benefit Package to include Cash Profit Sharing Program = up to 7% above max annual salary.
Applicant must have Direct & Indirect Purchasing experience.
5-10 yrs HANDS ON Mgmt experience. We realize that anyone over 5 years in a mgmt role may not have the hands on experience needed for this role. Please keep that in mind when sourcing candidate's.
Purchasing Module = SAP (MUST have experience with SAP)
MUST be able to communicate CLEARLY and effectively.
This is a DEGREE (BS) required position.
This position will oversee a dept staff of six or less.
QualificationsB.S. Degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent successful related Business or purchasing experience.
