The OpportunityBRIXCO Construction, Inc. is seeking an organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support our project management and field operations teams in Milpitas, CA. This hourly role is responsible for coordinating project documentation, short-term schedules, procurement support, permits, and administrative compliance as civil builds progress from estimation handoff through to final closeout.
Serving as a central conduit between the office and the field, you will collaborate daily with project managers, field superintendents, foremen, material vendors, and clients. Key Responsibilities- Office and Field Communication Conduit:
Serve as a primary communication link between project managers, superintendents, and dispatch, ensuring priorities, schedule adjustments, material needs, and field issues are communicated clearly. - Schedule and Crew Support:
Assist project managers and superintendents with planning crew assignments, tracking short-term schedules, and implementing schedule adjustments as job requirements shift. - Submittal Management:
Gather, organize, and submit product data, shop drawings, samples, and mix designs; maintain submittal logs and follow up to secure timely approvals. - Document Control:
Print, assemble, distribute, and maintain current plans, engineering specs, addenda, and contract documents for office and field crews. - Project Setup and Administration:
Set up new projects in company systems, establishing project folders, contact rosters, cost codes, and master administrative logs. - Change Order Administration:
Prepare and enter change orders, potential change items, and supporting documentation as directed by project managers; track approval statuses. - Procurement and Vendor Support:
Solicit material and subcontractor pricing, evaluate quotes, confirm lead times, and issue purchase orders in accordance with project management direction. - Delivery and Logistics Coordination:
Coordinate material orders and deliveries with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and dispatch to support jobsite timelines. - Permit Management:
Research permit requirements, submit applications, track approvals, coordinate municipal inspections, and maintain permit compliance files. - Master Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate submittal logs, RFI logs, change-order logs, permits, schedules, correspondence, and project closeout documentation. - Project Closeout:
Assist with closeout administrative packages, including warranties, operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, record drawings, and final permit sign-offs. - Operations Backup Coverage:
Provide periodic backup coverage for dispatch coordination (crews, equipment, and trucking) and office reception during peak periods or absences.

- Experience:
2 or more years of experience in construction project coordination, project administration, or a closely related construction field. - Technical Literacy:
Ability to read, navigate, and organize construction plans, specifications, submittals, and standard contract documents. - Software
Competency:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite…
