The City of Milpitas Recreation & Community Services Department is accepting applications for the 2026 Milpitas Youth Force (MYF) Program!
Milpitas Youth Force (MYF) is a youth summer job program that will prepare Milpitas teens, ages 16-18, to successfully and confidently enter the workforce by providing new opportunities, goal setting, hands‑on exposure, breaking down barriers, career skill building, and valuable job experience.

Must be a Milpitas resident between the ages of 16 and 18, and currently enrolled in high school.

- Education verification - This may be school transcripts, verification of enrollment, or other documentation.

- Work Hours:
Up to 20 hours per week for the eight-week program. - Schedule:
Part‑time; flexible hours during regular business hours (Mon‑Fri 8AM‑5PM)- Work will be primarily on‑site at the place of business or City of Milpitas facility.
- Employment Status:
Unbenefited and unrepresented. - Additional employment requirements may include:
- Tuberculosis (TB) test for those working with children
- Fingerprint clearance (Department of Justice) and online background check (Clearstar) if 18 years of age.

August 7, 2026 - Please note that every Friday is a mandatory professional development training from 5‑6 p.m. at the Milpitas Teen Center. All participants must attend each training.
