About Inclusive World

Inclusive World is a community-based nonprofit supporting adults with developmental disabilities in building independence, confidence, and meaningful community connections. We focus on abilities. Through practical skill‑building and inclusive community experiences, we help adults grow toward greater independence and employment readiness.

What This Role Is Really About

This is a hands‑on teaching role in a small‑group setting. You’ll work directly with adults with developmental disabilities (18+) as they build practical life and vocational skills — things like basic technology use, workplace readiness, and executive functioning.

Some days you’ll teach structured lessons. Some days you’ll support students as they apply those skills in real‑world community settings. You won’t be doing this alone.

You’ll have:

  • Curriculum and structure to guide you
  • Paid training
  • A collaborative team
  • Clear goals for participants

Because we are a growing program, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and gradually take on more responsibility if that interests you. Growth is available — but not forced.

What You’ll Do
  • Teach practical vocational and life skills in small groups
  • Support students during community‑based activities
  • Encourage confidence and independence
  • Track simple progress notes (we’ll train you)
  • Work closely with a supportive team
Who This Role Could Be Great For

Someone who:

  • Enjoys working directly with people
  • Is patient and encouraging
  • Is open to learning (we provide training)

Experience in education, vocational programs, mentoring, or human services is helpful — but not required if you’re the right fit.

If you meet most of the qualifications but not all, we still encourage you to apply.

Requirements
  • High school diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable supporting community outings
Why Join Inclusive World?

🚀 Opportunity to grow with the program

Every week, you’ll see visible progress — a new skill learned, a new level of confidence, a new step toward independence. If that sounds meaningful to you, we’d love to connect.
