Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Adult Education and Workforce Development the Career Coach/Transition Specialist shall drive the implementation of the South Bay Consortium for Adult Education (SBCAE) regional transition plans and goals. The Career Coach/Transition Specialist will provide guidance and assistance for students in the English as a Second Language (ESL), High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, and Adult Basic Skills Programs to facilitate the achievement of career and academic goals.
The position will serve a diverse population of adult learners and provide ongoing support for program development and implementation to meet the needs of learners.
Job Description
- Valid California Adult Education Teaching Credential or a degree in a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching adult learners in an adult school and/or community college setting.
- Knowledge of and experience teaching Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Career Technical Education (CTE).
- Broad understanding of community college academic pathways, career education programs, and workforce development opportunities.
- Current résumé detailing relevant education and professional experience.
- Three (3) recent professional letters of reference.
- Official or unofficial college transcripts verifying educational qualifications.
- Proof of current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
