Special Education Teacher in Milpitas, CA

Step into a rewarding role supporting seventh and eighth-grade students as a Special Education Teacher within a dynamic middle school environment near Milpitas, CA. This contract position begins immediately and runs through June 9th, 2027. Enjoy a part-time schedule with hours from 8am to 11am, and a slightly shorter day on Wednesdays from 8am to 10am, covering the critical first to third periods each day.

Youll work with a caseload of 14 to 16 students, guiding learners aged 12 to 13 through individualized instruction that fosters growth and confidence. You'll leverage your expertise to ensure academic success, encourage communication skills, and support diverse learning needs within an inclusive setting.

• Demonstrated experience working with middle school special education students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Passion for working collaboratively with families and staff to support student progress

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to each students unique needs
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting interventions as necessary
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
• Create a positive, supportive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, sharing updates and insights
