Engineering Change Administrator​/Mechanical Design Checker

Job Summary

Engineering Change Administrator / Mechanical Design Checker manages the lifecycle of product changes (ECRs/ECOs), coordinating between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to maintain accurate designs and documentation. Responsibilities include initiating, tracking, implementing revisions, reviewing impacts on production and inventory, and maintaining records.

• Change Management:
  Control and track Engineering Change Requests and Engineering Change Orders from initiation to closure.
• Documentation Control:
  Maintain, update, and manage revision levels for drawings, Bill of Materials, and specifications.
• Process Coordination:
  Facilitate reviews, impact analyses (cost, schedule), and approvals with engineering, procurement, and production departments.
• Database Administration:
  Input and maintain accurate data within Arena Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
• Technical Review:
  Verify 2D/3D drawings for errors, dimension accuracy, and adherence to company/industry standards.
• Role may expand to tooling and/or design work depending on capability.

• 2+ years of experience in document control, manufacturing, or engineering administration.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and/or PLM software.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• GD&T expertise per ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Excellent communication skills to identify and communicate design flaws; works with engineers and designers to correct discrepancies and provide feedback.
• High level of accuracy in managing part numbers, revision levels, and documentation.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Systems Engineering or a relevant discipline acceptable with relevant skills.
• Background in design & drafting preferred.

U.S. Base Pay Range: $102,000 – $115,000 USD.

Bay Area Pay Range: $120,000 – $140,000 USD.
