Salary Range / Rate: Base $100k -$160k + Bonus
What You'll DoAn Electrical Engineer is a key contributor in the design and development of high-power products and power modules. This role focuses on power electronics hardware design, working closely with firmware and software teams to ensure reliable system operation, performance, and compliance. The Electrical Engineer plays a critical role in bridging power hardware design with system-level requirements and product applications.
- Power Electronics & Hardware Design - Design and develop power electronics circuits for high-power products and power modules, including AC-DC / DC-DC converters, control circuits, and protection mechanisms.
- Support high-voltage and high-current designs, ensuring performance, efficiency, and reliability. - System & Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to define hardware interfaces and support system-level integration.
- Work closely with system and mechanical teams on rack enclosure, thermal, and liquid cooling solutions. - PCB Design & Validation - Lead or support schematic design, PCB layout review, and design verification for power hardware.
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation using lab equipment (oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.). - Compliance, Testing & Reliability - Support hardware testing for safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements (EMI/EMC, reliability, and environmental testing).
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware-related issues during development and production. - Documentation & Industry Awareness - Create and maintain hardware design documentation, specifications, and test reports.
- Stay current with power electronics industry trends, renewable energy applications, and energy efficiency technologies.
- Conduct competitive analysis related to power hardware design and solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in high-power product or power module hardware design.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, high-voltage systems, and control hardware.
- Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and hardware validation.
- Familiarity with hardware interfaces supporting firmware and software integration (e.g., control signals, sensing, communication interfaces).
- Hands-on lab experience with debugging, validation, and failure analysis.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, fast-paced development environment.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
