Position: Manufacturing Engineer - Contract Manufacturing
Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our contract manufacturing client in San Jose. The Manufacturing Engineer will support production floor activities, drive new product introduction (NPI), and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing performance.
Responsibilities:

• Support manufacturing operations from pilot through mass production; troubleshoot issues on the floor
• Partner with Program Managers and interface with customers to meet product requirements
• Develop DfA/DfM analyses and recommend design improvements
• Review and support NPI processes (MPI, tooling, SAP, etc.)
• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity, and yield through data analysis and root cause actions
• Lead Lean initiatives including value stream mapping, TAKT time studies, and DOE
• Develop process documentation, control plans, and PFMEA
• Mentor technicians and support global manufacturing sites as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of manufacturing/process engineering experience in contract manufacturing (PCBA/mechanical assemblies)
• Experience with product documentation, CAM tools (e.g., Valor, AutoCAD, Solid Works), and Lean/ISO environments
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
• Proficient in MRP systems and Microsoft Office
