Job TitleManufacturing Product Engineer – Principal
Job DescriptionAs a Product Engineer at MACOM Technology Solutions, you will be a key team member of the Product Engineering team responsible for the release of a diverse portfolio of microwave semiconductor products. The Product Engineer’s role includes the development of production test plans to verify product performance, the design and debug of RF test boards for automated test equipment, and the statistical analysis of data using sound statistical methodology in order to set test limits and datasheet specifications.
To accomplish these tasks, the Product Engineer will interact closely with Design Engineering, Test Engineering, Applications, Marketing, and Reliability Engineering to analyze and resolve issues, as they relate to sample, pre‑production and full production release of a product. You will work with internal and offshore test facilities to release products to production. A strong semiconductor product characterization and test background and the ability to collaborate with multiple engineering disciplines at different geographic locations worldwide are essential to the success of this position.
Responsibilities- Generate production test plans to verify product performance.
- Design and analyze RF & microwave test boards for automated test equipment.
- Set up and perform lab RF measurements.
- Conduct measurement systems analysis (gauge R&R).
- Analyze data using sound statistical methodology.
- Perform yield analysis and hold meetings of the project team to review findings.
- Ensure all aspects of product manufacturing, including hardware, documentation, BOMs and costing are in place for the production release of a product.
- Ensure new product introduction is successful and on schedule.

- BS in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent – Master’s degree is a plus.
- More than 7 years of experience as a Product or Test Engineer in the semiconductor field.
- Knowledge of a wide range of RF/microwave semiconductor products including amplifiers, switches, attenuators, mixers and limiters.
- Strong RF/microwave test and measurement skills.
- Experience in the characterization of semiconductor devices.
- Ability to analyze data using sound statistical methodology and effectively present technical information.
- Exceptional team and communication skills to interface with internal cross‑functional teams and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as JMP and Galaxy Examinator.
- Experience in scripting is a plus (Python, JMP).
The Salary Range for this position is $98,000 – $166,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates’ experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
